ই-কমার্সের domain হলো দোকানের অনলাইন ঠিকানা, আর hosting website চালানোর infrastructure। WordPress/WooCommerce-এর জন্য আলাদা hosting লাগে; Shopify plan-এর hosted store-এর জন্য একইভাবে আলাদা web hosting কেনার প্রয়োজন হয় না।
Ecommerce website-এর প্রয়োজন আলাদা
Product catalogue, cart, checkout, order management ও customer support একসঙ্গে কাজ করতে হয়। Domain এবং hosting সেই ব্যবস্থার অংশ। Product images, traffic pattern এবং integrations অনুযায়ী resource requirement বদলায়।
Domain কেনার checklist
Brand-এর সঙ্গে মানানসই নাম, সঠিক spelling ও উপযুক্ত extension বেছে নিন। নিজের registrant information, account access, renewal reminder ও transfer policy বুঝুন। শুধু কম introductory price দেখে সিদ্ধান্ত নেবেন না।
Hosting কীভাবে তুলনা করবেন
Platform compatibility, CPU, memory, storage, database limits এবং support scope দেখুন। Hosted commerce platform ব্যবহার করলে আলাদা web hosting প্রয়োজন নাও হতে পারে। WordPress-based store হলে hosting ও application maintenance-এর দায়িত্ব ঠিক করুন।
Security ও backup
HTTPS, software updates, secure accounts এবং backup প্রয়োজন। Provider-এর backup frequency, retention ও restore process জেনে নিন। কোনো plan সর্বোচ্চ নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করে বলে ধরে নেবেন না; দায়িত্ব ভাগ এবং recovery test গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।
Launch-এর আগে test
Mobile-এ product নির্বাচন, payment বা COD order, notification ও stock update পরীক্ষা করুন। Delivery charge, return information ও contact সহজে পাওয়া যাচ্ছে কি না দেখুন। Campaign traffic আনার আগে essential journey ঠিক করুন।
Store workload লিখে নিন
- Product, image, order ও concurrent visitor-এর বাস্তব ধারণা দিন।
- Checkout, backup restore, email delivery ও payment integration পরীক্ষা করার পরিকল্পনা রাখুন।
- Domain registration ও hosting renewal-এর আলাদা খরচ বুঝে নিন।
